The Croft
The Croft is a beautiful country home located in the quiet village of Woolsthorpe, surrounded by stunning countryside views, greenery and open outdoor spaces. The peaceful, homely atmosphere allows our children and staff to enjoy the benefits of rural living, whether that is countryside walks, outdoor games, enjoying meals outside in the summer or simply spending time in the fresh air.
The Croft is a three bedroom children’s home supporting young people aged 7–18 years old. The home follows a therapeutic approach using the PACE model, ensuring children receive nurturing, individualised care, and support to achieve positive outcomes in all aspects of their lives. The safe and welcoming environment within the local community also allows young people to experience positive risk taking opportunities in a supportive setting and a safe environment.

Growing up in a large, busy family surrounded by young people, I developed an early passion for working with children, particularly those who have experienced difficult childhoods, and helping them lead happy, fulfilling lives.
I have worked in care for 11 years. After completing my Level 2 and 3 in Childcare alongside placements in schools and nurseries, I moved into supporting children and adults with special needs, which strengthened my ability to understand those who struggle to express their feelings. I then joined Footsteps to Futures, progressing from Residential Care Worker to Deputy Manager while completing my Level 5 in Leadership and Management. After broadening my management experience in a larger home, I was drawn back, returning in September 2025 as Registered Manager of The Croft, a role I am incredibly proud of.
My focus is to provide a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment where children are at the centre of their care. I advocate for each child, ensuring their views and feelings are heard, while promoting independence and preparing them for their futures. Seeing young people progress, however small the step, is what I find most rewarding.
The Croft is more than a home; it is a warm, loving environment where children can thrive, and it is an honour to lead such a passionate, dedicated team. I also hold a degree in Professional Studies in Childhood and Youth and a qualification in Counselling Skills, and I continue to seek opportunities to grow so I can provide the highest standard of care.
