Footsteps to Futures is an independent children's home care provider and Independent Special School
Our Mission
We support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs through therapeutic and personalised support with residential care and though our Independent Special School.
Set in beautiful rural locations, our large, characterful homes are designed to feel like home. From the moment a young person walks through the door, they’re welcomed into a warm, calm space, supported by a dedicated team who walk alongside them on their journey toward independence, confidence, and a successful life beyond care.
At Footsteps, we provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young people who have faced significant challenges early in life. Many arrive at Footsteps after multiple placements, time in secure settings, or long periods of disengagement from education, family, and support systems.

Referral & Assessment
We work closely with local authorities and placing teams to understand each young person's history, needs and risks before they arrive, ensuring the right home and the right team are in place from day one.
Individualised Care Plan
Every young person has a care plan shaped around them; combining therapeutic support, education and daily routines that build safety, trust and the foundations for long-term progress.
Ongoing Support & Outcomes
We track each young person's progress closely, adapting support as they grow in confidence, and working towards positive, sustainable outcomes as they move towards greater independence.
